Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is most likely to revise the quarantine duration to 21 days, said Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Thursday.
Briefing mediapersons after a video conferencing by Prof Dr K Srinath Reddy, Health advisor to the state government, he said that a proposal to this effect has been given.
Earlier, the state government had made a mandatory provision of 14-day quarantine.
Presently the president of the Public Health Foundation of India, Srinath has served on many expert panels of the World Health Organisation (WHO). He is also a member in the executive group of the international steering committee on WHO’s COVID Solidarity Group Trial. As an expert on public health, he has been writing on care containment trend analysis and lockdown impact of COVID-19.
