Odisha Govt Officer Missing For One Month, Wife Seeks CM Intervention
Bhubaneswar: The wife of an Odisha government officer has sought the intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to trace her husband who has been missing for a month.
Speaking to media persons, here on Sunday, Manjulata Nayak said her husband Santosh Kumar Dalabehera, who works as desk officer in Culture department, has been missing since June 26.
Manjulata, who stays in G Udaygiri of Kandhaml district, said after she was informed by her husband’s colleagues that he was not coming to office since June 26, she came to Bhubaneswar on June 30. She had gone to the official quarters of Dalabehera in Unit IX but did not find him there. She also enquired about him from his colleagues in the office.
Stating that she had talked to her husband over phone on June 26, Manjulata said she has been trying to contact him on the mobile phone after she came to Bhubaneswar but failed.
She further said though she filed a complaint about her missing husband at Saheed Nagar police station on June 30, Dalabehera is yet to be traced. She has also written a letter in this regard to the secretary, Culture department on July 13.
She apprehended that Dalabehera may have taken extreme step due to the work pressure or humiliation by senior officers.
Manjulata appealed to the chief minister and 5T secretary to help her find her missing husband.
