Odisha Govt Orders ‘No Work No Pay’ Rule For Employees On Strike

Bhubaneswar: Following the cease work by the government employees working in several offices and directorate, the Odisha government has decided to invoke ‘no work no pay’ rules.

The School and Mass Education department has carried out the order of the government as the Section Officers’ Association and the Ministers’ Officers in the State Secretariat and the Heads of the Departments are on a cease work for over three weeks for fulfilment of their demands. As a result, all office works are pending.

The department, in an order, has informed the Finance department to hold up the salary of the striking employees till they join their duty.
