Odisha Govt Orders Probe Into ‘Unauthorised’ Transfer Of 120 Teachers



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has ordered a probe into allegations of illegal and unauthorised transfer of 120 teachers under the administrative con


trol of the District Education Officer (DEO) of Angul

Additional Secretary in School and Mass Education Department, Girish Chandra Singh has sent a communication to the Director of Secondary Education in this regard.

The Director, Secondary Education has been asked to conduct a thorough enquiry into the allegations raised by petitioner Harihar Mishra and others.

He has been asked to treat the matter as most urgent and submit a detailed report within seven days of receiving the communication.

The Additional Secretary has also forwarded the petition to the Director, stating that the allegations were self-explanatory and required immediate attention.

The department also sent a copy of the letter to the DEO, Angul, for information and necessary cooperation during the investigation.
