Odisha Govt Puts 23 More Industrial Projects On Fast Track
Bhubaneswar: After emerging as the number one state in the country in implementation of the industrial projects during the last quarter of 2020 financial year, the Odisha government has put 23 more investment projects on fast track.
Reviewing the progress of each project here on Thursday, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra resolved ground level issues and set timeline for each phase of activity. He directed the project investors and proponents to mobilise more men and machine for early completion of the construction works.
The bottlenecks in the projects in Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts were reviewed. The projects in Keonjhar district included Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India Pvt Limited, JSW Steel, Sree Metaliks, MSP Sponge, Pro Minerals (now under ESSEL mining), Jindal Steel and Power, and establishment of IDCO industrial estate.
The projects in Sundargarh included JSW Cement, Dalmia Cement (Bharat), Shree Hari Sponge, KAI International, Shiva Cement, Scan Steel, Agrasen Sponge, Adhunik Metaliks, Suraj Product and industrial estate IDCO.
The hotel project of Deo Residency, CJ Darcel Logistic, Saizar Logistics and industrial estate of IDCO in Jajpur district and Anvil Cables, project for development of new industrial estate under implementation in Mayurbhanj district were also reviewed in the meeting.
Mainly the issues relating to advance possession of government land, operation of truck unloading station at Dubuna, NOC under forest rights Act, enhanced stacking of iron ore, road connectivity, water supply, allotment of non-forest government land, approach road, ore supply, power connectivity, consent to operate certificate and law and order were resolved.
Additional Chief Secretary Forest & Environment Dr Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary Industry Hemant Kumar Sharma, Principal Secretary Water Resources Anu Garg, Principal Secretary Energy Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Chairman and Managing Director IDCO Sanjay Kumar Singh, MD IPICOL Nitin Bhanudas Jawale, Secretary IT Manoj Kumar Mishra along with senior officers of the departments concerned participated in the discussions through video-conferencing.
