Odisha Govt Ramps Up Bed Capacity In COVID Hospitals
Bhubaneswar: Worried about the alarming spread of coronavirus in Odisha, the state government has increased the bed capacity in COVID hospitals.
Additional chief secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Pradipta Mahapatra said on Saturday that 500 beds have been increased in the COVID Care Centre of the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, while in two COVID Care Centres under the SUM Hospital at Jamujhari and Jatni, 800 and 300 beds, respectively, have been added.
Also, number of beds and ICU units in the Neelachal Dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH) has been increased to 120 and 15, respectively, Mahapatra added.
