Odisha Government has issued detailed guidelines for the award of 14,500 scholarships under the ‘Medhabruti’ scheme for academic year 2019-20. The scholarship is applicable to students who are pursuing undergraduate, post-graduate, technical and professional degrees in colleges within and outside Odisha.

The scholarship will not be applicable to students enrolled for distance education and for those who have already availed scholarships of the state or Central government.
The government has made it clear that the number of scholarships under a particular category could be increased depending on the number of students applied and validated in other categories.
Students are requested to visit the Higher Education Department website and the Medhabruti portal for further details.
How to apply?
The application will be invited on the ‘Medhabruti’ portal of the Higher Education Department of Odisha Government and a short notification will also be uploaded in the Higher Education portal.
Only verified online application will be considered for award of scholarship.
Students of CBSE, ICSE medium schools, universities and students of management, engineering and technical institutions have to apply online by visiting www.dheodisha.gov.in
Students of Odisha studying outside should also apply online.
Students pursuing undergraduate programme in Odisha colleges and admitted through the e-admission process should not apply for the scholarship as individual colleges will be uploading the details online.
