Bhubaneswar: The state government on Thursday released the schedule and norms for spot admission into post-graduate (PG) courses in universities and colleges.
According to an official notification of the Higher Education Department, the Common Application Form (CAF) will be available online for spot admissions from January 9. The last date filing the CAF is January 12 and the merit list will be published on January 15.
The candidates may provide fresh option for the institutions where he wants to take admissions in order of preference. The candidates can apply for the subject, in which they had appeared the entrance exam (CPET-2020).
The selection will be made purely on merit and there will be no slide up option. There is no need for depositing CAF fees. Those who failed to deposit CAF fees and were allowed to appear CPET-2020, can make the deposit during admission.
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- Candidates who were previously selected and taken admissions and/or previously selected but not taken admissions in 1st, 2nd and 3rd selection.
- Candidates who have appeared CPET-2020, but not selected in 1st, 2nd and 3rd selection.
- Candidates who appeared CPET-2020, but not uploaded the graduation mark for some reasons within the stipulated time.
The candidates seeking the spot admission will be given maximum seven days to submit the University Leaving Certificate/College Leaving Certificate. They will be asked to submit undertaking and allowed to take admission.
The department has asked the chairpersons of PG Councils of all state universities, controller of examinations and principals of colleges to make necessary arrangements for the spot admission process.
