A field inquiry on the status of 2.85 lakh women beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana was conducted late last year.
She further stated that over Rs 250 crore will be disbursed. “The newly-enrolled beneficiaries will receive the last Raksha Bandhan instalment this week and the second instalment on March 8. The rest selected beneficiaries will get the pending instalments,” she added.
The Subhadra Scheme provide direct financial support to women to enhance their economic independence and social security. Each eligible woman is entitled to Rs 10,000 per year, which is disbursed two equal instalments of Rs 5,000 each.
The Deputy CM emphasised that the government has taken corrective measures to ensure transparency and fairness in the distribution process. She noted that the inclusion of left-out beneficiaries reflects the administration’s commitment to reaching every eligible woman under the scheme.
