Odisha Govt To Launch Special Training To Improve Mathematics Standard Of School Students

Bhubaneswar: In order to improve the students’ knowledge on Mathematics, the Odisha government will start a special training at block level.

Stating this while speaking to media persons on Sunday, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond said there is a need for reforms in education system. The government would take necessary steps in this regard from time to time.

“Mathematics is an important subject for the students in school curriculum. The proposed training at block level will help improve the students’ learning and skill in mathematics. I hope this will go a long way in improving the standard of education,” he said.

On reopening of the schools, the minister said since the weather condition has become normal with the onset of monsoon as per the forecast of IMD, there should be no problem in running the school in normal hours.

The School and Mass Education department in a notification had informed that all schools in the state will open from 6.30 am to 10.30 am on June 21 and operate normally from June 22.

Earlier, the government had directed the district administration on reopening the schools or change in timing depending on the weather condition.
