Bhubaneswar: Following media reports on the appointment of fake junior teachers in Odisha schools, the School and Mass Education department has decided to take stern action against them.
The department said the departmental promotion committee (DPC) and block education officers (BEOs) will thoroughly scrutinise the academic certificates of all junior teachers by September 30 and submit a report on October 15.
If any junior teacher is found to have submitted fake academic certificates, steps will be taken to dismiss him/her from the job.
