Jagatsinghpur: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said all eligible farmers will be provided benefits under the PM-KISAN Scheme.
He criticized Odisha Government for failure to send a list of eligible farmers of the state to the Centre, depriving them of assistance under the PM-KISAN scheme.
Pradhan said “I fail to understand why the state government is not sending the full and final list for PM -KISAN. The state government had launched its own KALIA scheme but it is yet to benefit the farmers here.”
He was addressing a gathering after unveiling a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Japa in Jagatsinghpur district.
Pradhan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set an example of good governance and its example is the release of over Rs 18,000 crore to more than nine crore farmer families under the PM-KISAN yojana.
“The new agricultural laws have taken steps to increase the potential use of agriculture for our farmers and make them self-sufficient,” said the Minister.
The Modi government is allocating a huge amount of money to Odisha but it is being siphoned off, he alleged.
He said the fears and doubts spread over the new agricultural laws are completely baseless.
