Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education department of Odisha government has rejected allegation of a sex racket operating in the Science College (Autonomous) at Hinjili in Ganjam district
The department stated in a statement that the allegations are baseless and intended to malign the reputation of the educational institution.
The department had launched a probe following allegations of a sex racket running in the college. Allegations about such a racket had surfaced on December 26.
After receipt of complaint, the Regional Director of Education, Berhampur along with some lady officers enquired the same on December 27. The inquiry report affirms that there is not an iota of evidence on the allegations of the petition, the department said in the press release.
“The complain petition is also an anonymous one, and no such complainant was found. The staff council, alumni association, teachers, students, and ladies hostel inmates denied all allegations. Apparently, the allegation is found to be baseless and intended to malign the reputation of the institution,” it added.
