Bhubaneswar: The Mohan Majhi government on Tuesday approved several welfare measure for personnel of Odisha Fire and Emergency Services.
The notification issued by the Home department said that the government has extended and revised allowances, which were under consideration for some time past.
The hikes are as follows:
1. House Rent Allowance (HRA) for Fireman, Havildars and equivalent ranks of Odisha Fire & Emergency Service who are staying in barracks and not provided with residential accommodation. “The admissible rate shall be decided on the basis of place of posting of the Odisha Fire & Emergency Service personnel, irrespective of the place of actual deployment,” it said.
2. Monthly Special Diet Allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel in the rank of Fireman, Havildars and equivalent ranks has been enhanced from Rs 900 to Rs 1400.
3. Monthly Motorcycle Allowance/ Mobility Allowance earlier allowed to Station Officer and Assistant Fire Officer is extended to Assistant Station Officer and equivalent ranks and is enhanced from Rs 300 to Rs 1050.
4. Monthly Mobility Allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel in the rank of Fireman, Havildars and equivalent ranks is enhanced from Rs 150 to Rs 300.
5. Monthly Risk Allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel from the rank of Fireman up to Assistant Fire Officer is enhanced from Rs 400 to Rs 1000.
