Odisha Hosts Seva Jyoti Yatra To Mark PM Modi’s 25 Years In Governance


Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed a series of events marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years as head of government, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 and continuing as India’s Prime Minister.

The ‘Developed India Resolution Meeting’ and ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ were organised across all 30 districts and the state capital.

In Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised Modi’s uninterrupted service, noting his transformation of India into a strong and decisive nation. State BJP President Manmohan Samal said the PM’s leadership has instilled “fresh energy” to achieve the Developed India 2047 vision.

A symbolic ‘Seva Jyoti Square’ was inaugurated near Pokhariput DAV School, commemorating Modi’s ideals of service, good governance and welfare of the poor. Leaders and citizens pledged to dedicate their strength and talent towards building a developed nation.

The month‑long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ saw Odisha’s enthusiastic participation, including lighting one crore lamps, collecting 8,810 units of blood—a national record—and conducting extensive cleanliness drives.

The Chief Minister highlighted the success of central and state schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana and PM‑Kisan. He declared Odisha’s goal of becoming prosperous, empowered and self‑reliant by 2036, contributing to the national vision of Developed India 2047.

Senior leaders, MPs, MLAs and ministers joined the programmes across districts, reaffirming collective commitment to nation‑building.
