Odisha Investors’ Meet Today: CM To Meet 37 Industry Captains In Hyderbad; Check His Itinerary
Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the last investors’ meet at Hyderabad, Chief Minister Naveen is likely to have 37 one-on-one interactions with business leaders, including stalwarts of the IT&ITES and pharmaceutical industry, on Monday.
Naveen is leading a high-level delegation to the City of Pearls to promote the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022 conference, which is slated to be held in Bhubhaneshwar from November 30 to December 4. It is organised in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Minister for Industries Pratap Keshari Deb, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, and Executive Chairman of Start-Up Odisha Omkar Rai are part of the delegation, which would also present investment opportunities to the investors in Telangana.
On Sunday, a delegation of senior officers led by the chief secretary interacted with 13 potential investors in Hyderabad.
On September 28, Naveen in Bengaluru appealed to industry captains to become partners in the state’s transformative journey and work together for the growth of the nation while offering X-plus incentives. Among others, Managing Director of Accenture Ltd Ajay Vij, Managing Partner of IBM India Pvt Ltd Amit Sharma, MD & CEO of Wipro-GE Healthcare Pvt Ltd Dr Shravan Subramanyam, President of Concentrix Daksh Services Ltd Girish Menon, Senior VP and Chief Corporate Affairs of Flipkart Rajneesh Kumar met the CM. One of the noted participants in the Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings was Azim Premji, former chairman of Wipro Limited.
Earlier in September, he attended an investors’ meet in Mumbai and interacted with industrialists like K M Birla, Anil Agarwal and Anand Mahindra, top bankers and financial wizards. On August 31, he attended the curtain-raiser of the flagship biennial event in Delhi and held discussions pertaining to investment in Odisha with envoys of different countries. This was the third investment roadshow after Dubai and Ahmedabad.
Odisha could draw investment intents of more than Rs 21,000 crore at the investors’ meet in Dubai, the first-ever investment event attended by Naveen outside Indian soil.
