Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday postponed the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) online test indefinitely in view of the surge in the COVID-19 positive cases.
Though the Skill Development and Technical Education Department said that it will announce the revised date for the test later, reliable sources said that the test is most likely to be conducted in October.
The online test was earlier scheduled to be held from September 6 to 15.
Taking note of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee had added six new places in the state and three outside the state to the existing list of online examination centres.
The six new centres chosen by the Committee are Balangir, Paralakhemundi (Gajapati), Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Nayagarh and Phulbani (Kandhamal) while the three places outside the state are Patna, Ranchi and Kolkata.
