Bhubaneswar: The Khimji Dayabhai Co Group, a jewellery house that has its beginnings in Odisha’s Baripada, is planning to expand its operations beyond the state as it completes 90 years in business.
The Group came into being in 1936 and has made a name for itself in the state, based on trust, transparency, craftsmanship and enduring customer relationships.
It has now grown into a multi-brand jewellery business spanning four generations. The Group now plans to combine its legacy with a renewed focus on innovation, new-age consumers and expansion beyond Odisha.
“Founded by Khimji Dayabhai, Chatrabhuj Dayabhai Nanda & brothers, the business began with a simple customer-first philosophy: honest weight, purity of gold and fair pricing. These principles continue to guide the Group’s approach to jewellery and customer relationships,” the company has said.
One of its campaigns for the 90th year celebrations has the theme “Carrying Forward the 90-Year-Old Legacy of Transparency”. It centres around “real customers, real voices”, focussing on customers and their stories.
“It brings together portraits and stories of customers and families associated with Khimji Dayabhai Co Group across generations, alongside anniversary experiences in Baripada, Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Bhadrak,” it said.
Complementing this, the Group has unveiled “24-Karat Transparent,” a campaign that draws a parallel between the purity of gold and the transparency that has guided the business for 90 years.
“Ninety years is not just a milestone; it is a celebration of the trust generations of customers have placed in us. Our journey from a single store in Baripada to a multi-brand jewellery business across four generations has been shaped by our commitment to honest gold, honest weight and transparent relationships,” Nishit Nanda, CEO, Khimji Dayabhai Co Group, said.
“As we enter our 100 years, we remain focused on carrying these values forward while embracing innovation and evolving customer needs. Our 2028 vision includes a Rs 500 crore turnover target, expansion beyond Odisha and new high-end boutiques,” he added.
