Koraput: The Odisha Crime Branch (CB) has busted a fraudulent matriculation certificate racket in Koraput district with the arrest of a key suspect, Chhanda Charan Sahoo.

According to a CB release, Sahoo was produced before the sub divisional judicial magistrate’s court in Jeypore. He was arrested on Monday on the basis of a complaint lodged by the senior superintendent of post offices, Koraput division, Jeypore, alleging that some candidates had used fake or forged matriculation certificates to secure appointments as Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) in April 2023.
