Odisha: KIIT Scores A Record High In Online Campus Placement

Bhubaneswar: Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, KIIT Deemed to be University has achieved record campus placement for its 2020-21 passing out batch.

About 80 per cent eligible students from the School of Technology (SOT) of KIIT got placements in the online process that started on July 1, 2020.

As many as 90 companies have visited online for campus placement and generated 3500 job offers. Over 2500 SOT students have already been placed in different national and multinational companies, according to a press release.

A total of 1000 students have got multiple offers. Students have bagged pay packages of Rs 30 lakh, Rs 24 lakh and Rs 19 lakh, while the average salary is Rs 6 lakh. Going by the company commitments, KIIT is all set to achieve placement of 700 more students by April.

Even though the campus placements are being conducted online, KIIT has rewritten its record compared to the last academic session. Campus placements in KIIT School of Management and KIIT School of Law have just started and the management hopes that these two schools will also achieve cent per cent success like the previous year.
