Odisha Kingpin Archana Nag’s Missing ‘Ford Endeavour’, A Gift, Found At Mancheswar
Bhubaneswar: A white Ford Endeavour suspected to be among the fleet of luxury cars belonging to honeytrap kingpin Archana Nag was found abandoned at Mancheswar industrial estate in Odisha capital.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating the money angle in the case, had been searching for this high-end SUV, which went missing under mysterious circumstances. Reports suggest that an unidentified person had abandoned the vehicle in the area on Friday and it grabbed the attention of locals, who informed police.
The SUV was found without a registration number plate, which added to the suspicion.
The ED officials later identified the vehicle by confirming details and matching the chassis number with the available database. The locked vehicle, which couldn’t be towed due to advance security features, was later unlocked with a master key and seized. It was later taken to the ED office.
The SUV was allegedly gifted to her by an influential person. The ED may summon the person for questioning in this connection.
Archana is in jail after being arrested on October 6 for allegedly amassing wealth by blackmailing prominent people in Odisha using sexually explicit videos. The agency booked Archana, her husband Jagabandhu Chand, and their associates Khageswar Patra and Shradhanjali Behera and is looking into the source of the money they received, their bank accounts, and properties.
The jailed couple allegedly amassed assets worth around Rs 30 crore from 2018 to 2022.
