Odisha Lockdown: Man Held For Making Fake Passes In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Police arrested a man in the city on Tuesday for allegedly making fake lockdown passes and selling them to people.
Police didn’t disclose the name of the accused, but said he was a resident of Damana in Chandrasekharpur police station area.
Following a tip-off, police raided the accused’s house and caught him red handed when he was making the fake passes using the logos of different organisations.
They also seized several fake passes from the house.
The accused reportedly confessed to police that he prepared the passes for people who wanted to move around during the lockdown and charged them Rs 50 each.
Notably, the Commissionerate Police had earlier allowed movement of employees of private organizations on production of Identity cards.
