Bhubaneswar: After the announcement of 14-day lockdown by the state government from May 5, the Odisha Byabasayee Mahasangh (umbrella body of traders’ associations), has decided to keep shops open after 2 pm.
Revoking its earlier decision to shut shops after 2 pm across the state from May 3, the Mahasangh said all the shops and business establishments will operate as usual till May 5.
They will, however, obey the night curfew which has been imposed in some districts, the Mahasangh stated.
Notably, Odisha government on Sunday announced a two-week lockdown in the state from Wednesday (May 5) morning to break the COVID-19 infection chain.
