Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a slight drop in daily COVID caseload on Thursday with 530 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 653 the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 311 cases are from quarantine and 219 local contacts. Among them, 123 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

With these cases being detected from 19,623 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 2.70%. Odisha now has 4,687 active cases.
The state also confirmed one more death due to COVID, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 22.
The Health Department identified the deceased as an 80-years-old man of Bhadrak district, who was also suffering from diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cerebro vascular accident.
