Bhubaneswar: Odisha has lost about 599 hectares of forest area in last 10 years due to industrialization, Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha informed the Assembly on Tuesday.
The minister said the total forest area in the state was 58,136 sq km in 2011, but reduced by about 599 hectares till 2019.
Arukha said this in reply to a question by Congress MLA Narasingha Mishra.
