Bhubaneswar: Union Minister and BJP MP candidate Dharmendra Pradhan is leading by 35,876 votes against BJD organisation secretary Pranab Prakash Das from Sambalpur, touted as the biggest Lok Sabha battle in Odisha.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra is ahead of his BJD rival Arup Patnaik by 38,002 votes in Puri while former Union Minister Jual Oram is leading by 49,734 votes against hockey legend Dilip Tirkey of BJD in Sundargarh.
In Bargarh, Pradeep Purohit of the saffron party is leading by highest margin of 92,206 votes against BJP turncoat Parinita Mishra, who contested the elections on BJD ticket.
BJP’s Malvika Devi is leading by 49,911 votes against BJD’s Lambodar Nial in Kalahandi.
In the battle of turncoats in Berhampur, BJP’s Pradeep Panigrahi is leading by 37,405 votes against his BJD rival Bhrugu Baxipatra.
Sitting BJP MP from Bhubaneswar Aparajita Sarangi is ahead of BJD’s Manmath Routray by 9,419.
Sitting Cuttack MP Bhratruhari Mahtab, who is contesting as a BJP candidate after being a steady face for BJD and wining the seat since 1998, has a lead of 11,553 over his rival Santrupt Misra of the BJD.
BJP national vice president Baijayant Panda is leading by 4,401 votes in Kendrapada, the seat which he had won in 2009 and 2014 on BJD ticket but lost in 2019 after joining BJP following a fallout with Naveen Patnaik. Congress turncoat Ashuman Mohanty is the BJD candidate from the seat.
While the BJP is leading in 18 of 21 seats as per the latest treads, BJD is ahead in two and Congress in one.
Sitting Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta is leading by only 1,682 votes against BJP’s Sukanta Panigrahi. Similarly, Sitting Jajpur MP Sarmistha Sethi is ahead of BJP’s Rabindra Behera by 5,491 votes.
Saptagiri Ulaka, the sitting Congress MP from Koraput, is leading by 15,547 votes from the seat.
