Cuttack: For the first time, Odisha participated at Global Film Bazaar held in Goa this year.
Global Film Bazaar is platform that encourages creative and financial collaborations between international film communities.
Marking the state’s debut in the international event, a team of Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) chairman Kuna Tripathy, OFDC managing director Nitin Jawale and Tourism director Sachin Jadab presented the new Odia film policy.
Praising the policy as the best one, many Indian and international filmmakers evinced interest to shoot in Odisha after seeing the audio visuals of Odisha-based films.
The Odisha team also organised a lunch programme to showcase Odia foods, inspiring filmmakers to come up with ideas of making films based on the state’s authentic cuisine.
The OFDC chairman said if Odia filmmakers give more emphasis to Odisha tourism while making films, then both the Odia film industry and tourism can be developed simultaneously.
