Berhampur: Prasanjeet Gorai of Bahadurpur in West Bengal died after allegedly being stabbed by his relative Rajiv Gorai (35) inside S1 of Chennai-Howrah Mail between Ganjam and Chhatrapur railway stations at 2 pm on Friday.
Rajiv allegedly attacked Prasanjeet with a knife after an altercation over Prasanjeet’s alleged illicit relationship with his wife.
According to RPF sources, Prasanjeet was rushed to Chhatrapur Government Hospital in serious condition but was declared brought dead.
Ranjiv and his three co-passengers were detained by RPF at Ganjam railway station and handed over to the Ganjam police, which then arrested them. Further investigation was underway.
