Bhubaneswar: Surprise, Surprise! South Indian superstar Nayanthara will be appearing for the annual Matric exam in Odisha from February 19.
Difficult to swallow and digest too? An admit card issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, doing the rounds on social media carries her picture as the candidate. Hold on! The admit card, however, belongs to one Abhijit Kabat. He is a student of Raghunath High School, Raikama.
“The students were allowed to fill up forms and upload photos under the guidance of their teachers. Some of them had uploaded whatever picture they had. There is provision for rectification and it will be done. No students will be barred from appearing for the exam because of such mistakes. The teachers accompanying them will identify them and ensure that they are allowed into the centre,” said BSE Secretary Srikanta Tarai.
The students began downloading admit cards from board’s website www.bscodisha.ac.in using their login IDs and passwords from February 6.
The exam of two-and-a-half hours duration (10 am to 12.30 pm) being conducted by BSE will be held at 2888 centres across the state and conclude on March 2.
The schedule of the matric examination is as follows:
February 19 (Wednesday)- Odia (First Language)
February 22 (Saturday)- English
February 24 (Monday)- Sanskrit/Hindi
February 26 (Wednesday) – Mathematics
February 28 (Friday)- General Science
