Odisha Matric Exam Paper Evaluation Begins Amid Tight Security

Bhubaneswar: Evaluation of answer sheets of the matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha began on Wednesday amid tight security.

As per official sources, the BSE has taken stringent measures to ensure the smooth and fair evaluation process. The board has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone indulging in unfair practices during the evaluation process.

As per the schedule, the evaluation of papers will commence at 10 am every morning and continue till 5 pm. Teachers, instructors, and other staff members involved in the evaluation process will not be allowed to leave the premises during the evaluation hours. Additionally, mobile phone entry has been restricted.

As many as 11,800 teachers have been deployed for the evaluation process. The evaluation centres have been equipped with advanced security systems, including CCTV cameras, to prevent any irregularities.

Sources said that the BSE has also appointed a camp officer, a chief observer, two deputy observers, and two supervisors at each evaluation centre. Additionally, over 300 data entry operators have been engaged to upload the marks online. Every day, after the evaluation, the marks will be uploaded online.

It may be noted that a total of 5,22,336 students registered for the matric examination this year, but over 15,000 students were absent.
