Bhubaneswar: The results of the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, are likely to be declared in the second week of May.
Announcing this on Tuesday, BSE president Srikant Tarai said the evaluation process for the Class X matriculation examination has almost completed and the results are expected in the second week of next month.
Speaking to the media, the BSE president informed that the evaluation process has almost completed.
“The checking of Class X exam papers commenced on March 19. While the process is progressing smoothly, we faced a brief interruption, as the checking had to be halted for three days. While this delay has extended the overall timeline, we are working diligently to ensure the results are published by the second week of May. Our goal is to avoid any inconvenience for students who are planning to pursue higher education,” Tarai told reporters.
The BSE president further stated that the Board always prioritizes the interests of students and decisions regarding the Science subjects have been made with careful consideration.
“In line with the examination committee’s decisions, students need not worry about any issues,” he added.
The introduction of the watermark and QR code system in this year’s Class X board exam has played a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of the examination process and addressing the ongoing issue of question paper leaks, he added.
Around 5.5 lakh students appeared for the Class X board exam which concluded last month. The evaluation of answer sheets began shortly after and is being conducted at multiple centers across the state under strict supervision.
