Balangir: A video of the sports teacher of BR Amedkar High School at Garei in Balangir district taking money from the students appearing for the matriculation examination has gone viral.
The accused teacher has been identified as Dharamu Bagh.
While the teacher is seen collecting money, another persons can be heard saying that cheat sheets will be provided to the students during the exam.
In-charge Headmaster of the school Krutibas Das admitted that Bagh had collected the money but for a different purpose. “We collect Rs 150 as social fee. Some students were absent and had not paid the fee. The sports teacher was collecting that amount from those students while giving them the admit cards,” he said.
It is an attempt by some people to defame the school and the teaching staff, he added.
