Bhubaneswar: The results of annual matriculation examination will be announced by second half of next month (May), Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, president Ramashish Hazra informed on Monday.
“The process is already underway to publish error-free results this time too. It is a lengthy and complicated process and efforts are on to complete it at the earliest,” he added.
The summative assessment-2 of High School Certificate (HSC), Madhyama and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examinations, conducted simultaneously by BSE, concluded on March 2o. Evaluation of answer scripts began at 56 centres from April 3. The results are usually announced within 45 days of the evaluation of the answer sheets.
Addressing a presser, BSE vice president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said the evaluation process has ended at most centres. “We are now working on defect compliance and then tabulation and processing will be done. It is too early to announce the exact date,” he said.
Responding to a query on printing mistakes in social science set-B question paper, he added, “Steps have been taken to ensure that no student suffer due to the glitch.”
