Bhubaneswar: Odisha, which has been experiencing chilly weather conditions for last four days, may witness a slight rise in the night temperature over the next few days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the night temperature may rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during the next 3 days with no large change thereafter.
The weather agency has also warned of dense fog at one or two places in Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Kalahandi and Keonjhar districts till Monday morning. Shallow to moderate fog may also occur at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Gajapati, Ganjam and Rayagada.

On Sunday, G Udayagiri continued to be the coldest for fourth consecutive day at 5 degrees Celsius, slightly up from 4.6 degree Celsius recorded the previous day. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, which saw the mercury plummet to season’s lowest temperature of 12.7 degree Celsius and 12.5 degree Celsius on Saturday, recorded 14.5 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively, in the last 24 hours. The night temperature is likely to hover around 15-16 degree Celsius in the twin cities during the next 5 days, according to the MeT office.
