Odisha-Mo Parivar Comes To Rescue Of Two Distressed Families
Bhubaneswar: Continuing its service to the people in desperate situations, Odisha-Mo Parivar has come to the help of two distressed families in the state.
In one instance, 52-year-old Purna Chandra Behera of Jajpur, who was working as a daily wage labourer at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, died due to heart attack on February 8.
The grief-stricken family of Purna, who was their sole breadwinner, approached Manoj Kumar Nayak, Director, Odia Mahamanch-Delhi, to help bring back his body. Nayak, on his part informed the Odisha-Mo Parivar about the desperate condition of the family.
Odisha-Mo Parivar made logistical arrangements to shift Manoj’s body from Coimbatore to his native place at Jajpur. Joint Secretary, Odisha-Mo Parivar, Rudra Narayan Samantaray, Health Advisor Satyajit Dash, Bimal Ch Das, Jeevan Bindu coordinator of Jajpur and other members of the team received the body at the Bhubaneswar International Airport.

In the second case, 3-year-old Janhavi Oram of Rourkela, who was suffering from muscle atrophy in lungs, was admitted to KIMS, Bhubaneswar in September last year.
The family, which was under financial stress, sought the assistance of Odisha-Mo Parivar for Janhavi’s treatment. The Mo Parivar helped in documentation procedures of the patient and the treatment was carried under the state government’s BSKY scheme.
After undergoing treatment for 5 months, Janhavi was discharged on February 9. The Mo Parivar also made arrangements for shifting her to the native place at Rourkela.
