Nabarangpur: Not all bureaucrats are as laid back as they are often made out to be. There are exceptions. Chandahandi BDO, Dharmaraj Majhi is one such exception. He has set an example by working as a labourer for the construction of a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district.
According to reports, a beneficiary of PMAY in Pipalpada village under Chandahandi block of the district was unable to complete the construction due to unavailability of workers. Majhi came to know about the matter and reached the village along with the local Panchayat Extension Officer (PEO).
The villagers were quite overwhelmed and were in awe of the BDO. He was also seen carrying concrete on a sling with locals.
