Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday ordered the closure of all government and private schools with immediate effect.
A notification by the School and Mass Education Department also directed school authorities to postpone the annual exams of all classes (from Class I to Class IX).
The teachers have been asked not to come to their schools. They have also been told to remain alert for any urgent directive by the department.
The notification, however, said that the ongoing annual examination of Class XII students and the evaluation of the answer sheets of Class X and XII students will continue as per schedule.
