Odisha Playback Singer Humane Sagar Hopes To Resolve Marital Conflict Amicably
Cuttack: Playback singer from Odisha Humane Sagar on Friday again refuted religious conversion and domestic violence allegations levelled against him by his wife Shriya Mishra and her family.
“We are on the side of truth. I am hurt by these allegations but have firm faith that everything will get sorted out amicably. They have sought two days’ time and I am hoping for the best,” he said while refusing to divulge any details about what led to the discord between the couple.
The singer’s mother further said that Shriya worships Lord Jagannath and they have a small puja corner for her in their house. “We have agreed to a mutual agreement. I am missing my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. I will be happy if they live together happily.”
Shriya, who has left her husband’s house in Cuttack and living at her parental house in Balasore for over five months, had lodged a complaint at Mahila police station accusing Humane of physically and mentally torturing her for the last few months following which they were summoned for counselling on Thursday. After counselling, the couple has been given two days’ time to settle the dispute amicably and asked to report to the police again if they failed to reach a compromise.
