Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department in Odisha on Thursday released the merit list of first-round selection for admission to undergraduate (UG) first year courses (Plus III) for the academic session 2025-26.
According to the notification, 1,75,722 students have been selected in the first-phase of the selection process. A total of 2,65,590 have applied against the sanctioned seat strength of 2,74,509. Among those selected in the first round, 70,745 are males, 1,04,967 females and transgender 10.
Stream-wise highest cut-off marks are as follows:
1) Arts Stream: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 92.80% (Political Science)
2) Science Stream: i) Physical Science: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 93.67% (Physics)
ii) Biological Science: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 94% (Zoology)
3) Commerce Stream: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 90.50% (Commerce)
4) Shastri Stream: Om Maa Saraswati Sanskrit (Degree) College, Rajgangpur – 68.67% (Shastri)
5) Self-Financing Stream: Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College, Bhubaneswar – 88.83% (Computer Science)
6) Law Stream: University Law College, Utkal University, BBSR -87.80 (5 Year Integrated B.A.LL.B )

2) Arts: 1,07,069
3) Commerce: 16,205
4) Shastri:3,371
5) Self-financing: 3,051

“The selected students, who will choose the “Freeze” option, have to report at the selected HEIs on 13.06.2025, 16.06.2025 & 17.06.2025 from 10.00 AM to 05.00 PM to complete the admission related activities,” the notification added.
