Odisha Polls: BJD Workers Engaged In Mo School Review Works, BJP Complains To CEO

Bhubaneswar: In a fresh allegation against BJD, Odisha unit of BJP has said the state government has engaged the ruling party workers to review the construction works under Mo School scheme.

A delegation of BJP submitted a petition in this regard to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Friday. Speaking to the media after filing the complaint, BJP spokesman Satyabrat Panda said the government issued an official order on April 10 directing its employees to review the works of 93 Mo Schools under the 5T initiative.

“We have no objection to the employees reviewing the Mo School works. But it has come to our notice that some BJD workers have been engaged in the review meeting. It is a violation of poll code of conduct and we have drawn the attention of the CEO in this regard for necessary action,” Panda said.

Panda further alleged that Sundargarh SDPO and Inspector of Bhasma police station Ramprasad Nag were engaged in election works of the BJD. They were threatening the BJP workers and had filed several false cases against the party workers, he said.

Neither the government nor the BJD has issued any comments on the allegations so far.
