Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded a sharp decline in COVID infections on Friday with 262 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours. As a result, the active tally in the state also dropped below the 2,000 mark at 1,987.
The state reported 355 cases on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 153 new cases are from quarantine and 109 local contacts. Among them, 47 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

With these cases being detected from 16,863 samples, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 1.55 % against 2.13 % the previous day.
