Bhubaneswar: The latest data released by the Odisha government on Sunday put the corona-affected tally at 1335. With seven deaths and 550 recoveries, the state now has 778 active cases.
However, the Health Department website had earlier put the total COVID cases in Odisha at 1336 with 67 new cases being detected in the state in the last 24 hours.
The I & PR department had also tweeted about 67 new cases till 9 am on Sunday while giving out details of the patients.
The May 23 update had put the positive cases at 1269. With 67 new cases, the number totalled up to 1336.
By Sunday evening, the number of new cases, however, had shrunk to 66 and the total to 1335.
The Health Department later informed that a helper of a bus from Maharashtra had tested COVID positive in Angul and he was subsequently excluded from the affected tally of Odisha.
