Odisha Reports 169 New COVID Cases; 53% From Khurda, Nil In 14 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a slight rise in daily COVID caseload on Saturday as 169 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 154 the previous day.

The state had registered 173 COVID cases on Thursday, 218 positive cases on Wednesday, 175 cases on Tuesday, and 178 cases on Monday.

According to the I & PR Department, 97 of the new infections are from quarantine and 72 local contacts. Among them, 29 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 88 new cases followed by Sambalpur at 10. Fourteen districts reported nil cases.

  16. Sundargarh: 9

Besides, 19 from the state pool.

With these cases being detected from 61,077 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.27%.

While the affected tally has touched 10,52,641, Odisha now has 1,922 active cases.
