Odisha Reports 447 New COVID Cases, 17% Infectees Children
Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 500 for the third consecutive day on Sunday as 447 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 441 new cases on Saturday, 467 on Friday, 524 on Thursday, 559 on Wednesday, and 556 on Tuesday.
Among them, 78 cases (17.44 per cent) are below the age of 18 years.
While 260 are from quarantine, 187 are local contact cases. Khurda district with 180 infections accounted for almost 40 per cent of the daily count. Cuttack saw 62 new cases. Four districts reported nil cases.

Besides, 43 are from the state pool.
With these cases detected from 69,161 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.64 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1038411, Odisha now has 4,542 active cases.
