Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 46 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 437.
According to the I & PR Department, the number rose from 391 (till 9 am on Monday) to 437 (till 9 am on Tuesday). Among these, 42 cases were detected at quarantine centres and two in a containment zone.
These cases have been reported from Ganjam (21), Balasore (15), Jajpur (4), Sundargarh (2) and one each in Boudh, Cuttack, Puri and Mayurbhanj.
The positive cases include 38 Surat returnees and four with travel history to West Bengal.
With 3 deaths and 85 recoveries, Odisha now has 349 active cases.

Notably, 80 per cent of the total cases in Odisha have been reported from Ganjam (157), Jajpur (64), Balasore (57), Khurda (50) and Bhadrak (31). This will have a major bearing on any decision on further relaxation or continuation of existing lockdown restrictions in these five districts.
