Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal fall in daily COVID caseload on Friday as 539 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 644 the previous day.
Among them, 77 are children below 18 years of age, which is 14.28 per cent of the new infections.
With these cases being detected from 68,818 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) is 0.78 per cent. The TPR was 0.89 per cent on Thursday and 1.05 per cent on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR department, 316 of the new cases are from quarantine and 223 local contacts. Khurda district saw the highest 254 people testing positive for the virus, followed by Cuttack (48) and Balasore (23). Five districts reported nil cases.
