Odisha Reports Below 200 New COVID Cases For 3rd Day; Majority From Khurda

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported less than 200 new COVID cases for the third consecutive day on Tuesday with 175 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The state had registered 178 cases on Monday, 160 on Sunday and 173 on Saturday.

According to the I & PR department, 101 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 74 local contacts. Among them, 30 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 82 cases, followed by Mayurbhanj and Cuttack at 12 and Sundardarg at 11. Thirteen districts reported nil cases.

17. Sundargarh: 11

Besides, 19 from the state pool.

With these cases being detected from 48,944 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.35%.
