Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded a test positivity rate of 5.25 per cent on Thursday as 3650 of 69480 samples tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
It is for the second consecutive day that the state has reported over 3000 cases after the daily caseload dropped to 2957 on June 22. 3456 fresh infections were detected on June 21.
According to the I & PR department, 2098 of the new cases are from quarantine and 1552 local contact cases.
Khurdha reported the highest 604 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (485), Jajpur (332), Balasore (278) and Puri (187).

With this, Odisha now has 33,770 active cases with 19 districts in the Green Zone. In TPR, six districts, including Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur and Bhadrak, are in Red Zone.
Puri district has the highest 12 per cent TPR, though it is in the Yellow Zone in active cases (less than 2000 cases).
