Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been registering a slight rise in fresh infections since the daily COVID caseload dropped below 4000 three days ago.
Friday saw 3,806 people testing positive for the virus against 3631 on Thursday, 3535 on Wednesday and 3405 on Tuesday.
The test positivity rate (TRP) also rose to 5.86 per cent from 5.72 per cent the previous day. The testing was increased to 64,850 from 63,421 since Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, Khurdha reported the highest of 617 new cases, followed by Cuttack (393), Jajpur (346), Balasore (220) and Puri (200).

Of these new infections, 2,172 are from quarantine and 1,634 local contacts.
Odisha now has 43,338 active cases. Khurda, Balasore, Jajpur and Cuttack tagged as Red Zone districts have over 2500 active cases. These districts have a TPR of more than 7.5 per cent.
In positivity rate, eight districts – Khurda, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri and Bhadrak – are still in Red Zone.
