Odisha Schools Closed, But 50% Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff Must Be Present
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government issued an order on Monday stating that 50% of teaching and non-teaching staff must remain present in schools to carry out important activities like admissions, distribution of books and monitoring of MDM programme.
All academic institutions, including hostels, under the administrative control of School and Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha have been closed from April 19 due to the surge in COVID cases during the second wave.
Following arrangements will remain in place at school points until further orders:
1. Fifty per cent of Teaching and Non-teaching staff must remain present and the Head of Institution should prepare duty chart accordingly, so that important programmes like admission of students, distribution of NT books, monitoring of MDM Programme and any other work assigned by District Administration from time to time can be taken up.
2. Anybody wishing to leave Headquarters should take prior permission of Collector and District Magistrate through concerned Head of Institution/DEO/BEO. Any deviation will be viewed seriously.
